"My respects go out to the family for creating such a beautiful place - PARSAGARH - A True GARH. Surrounded by ponds and the lovely greenery (Orchards)."
We carry the title "Prasad Narayan Singh" not "Rai". I was interested in some archaeological / scientific evidence for some concrete dating of when the Garh was made. My ancestral house is the oldest one in the Garh...I am thinking about getting a dating done from ASI to ascertain its age.
I would request you to stick to facts supported by some literature / evidence rather than resorting to anecdotes.
What about Dixit ? Where did that disappear ? In Chainpur , the titles of Prasad Narayan Singh and Deo Narayan Singh ... In Gabirar - an offshoot of Chainpur, the title is Shahi. And in Hutwah - the titles started from Sen/Sinha to Dutt Shahi and now Shahi. Titles keep changing over time and generations. Good Luck with the ASI stuff...
I am from the Garh Pariwar of Parsagarh. Can you tell me from which source you are citing us as descendents of Nath rai?
ReplyDeleteDear Prashant - You should be knowing the founding fathers of the Zamindari Estate. You don't need any source to tell you your ancestory.

ReplyDeleteJamini Rai was the first to drop Dixit; Devi P N Singh (b 1835, d 1920) was the first to use PNS. I'm also a descendent of that line.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Information , RPNS Sir. Appreciate your inputs. Is it possible that keeping the Title of PNS was considered more "modern" than Rai.
